Available for editorial / gallery

N. Vale is a documentary and fine art photographer working at the boundary between photojournalism and conceptual practice. Their work has appeared in Aperture, Foam, and the Paris Review. Represented by Void Gallery, New York.

Working primarily in black and white medium and large format, Vale's images resist narrative resolution. They ask the viewer to remain inside uncertainty — to look without arriving.

2024 Threshold — Foam Museum, Amsterdam
2023 Void Studies — MOMA PS1, New York
2022 Dark Continent — Palais de Tokyo, Paris
2021 Negative Space — ICP, New York
