── Photographer Statement
"I photograph the moment before things are named. The threshold. The frame between what was and what cannot be undone. I am not documenting reality — I am outlining its ghost."
— N. VALE

── About
N. Vale is a documentary and fine art photographer working at the boundary between photojournalism and conceptual practice. Their work has appeared in Aperture, Foam, and the Paris Review. Represented by Void Gallery, New York.
Working primarily in black and white medium and large format, Vale's images resist narrative resolution. They ask the viewer to remain inside uncertainty — to look without arriving.
